Advocates for Children and Youth (ACY) created The Anne Riley Graduate Fellowship to recognize and show appreciation for Dr. Riley’s nine years of service on ACY’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Riley is a Professor in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health, at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, with joint appointments in the Department of Psychiatry in the Hopkins School of Medicine and at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. As a member of ACY’s Board, Dr. Riley has combined her expertise in children’s issues with her commitment to improving the lives of Maryland’s most vulnerable children. She first served on ACY’s Public Policy Committee, advising on the children’s health policy issues. She then chaired that Committee, and for the last three years
served as the Vice President of the Executive Committee.
The Fellowship will be awarded to a highly-motivated graduate student who attends an accredited institution of higher education. The newly established Fellowship will be awarded on an annual basis through a competitive process.
