HB639/SB679 – Community-Partnered School-Based Mental Health Task Force
Creates a task force to develop recommendations to increase community-based mental health partnerships with schools.
Why this bill is important:
Advocates for Children and Youth Supports this bill because it highlights the need for children’s mental and behavioral health. This task force will recommend strategies and policies to develop partnerships between schools and community-based mental health providers.
Update: Senate Bill 679 and House Bill 639 did not make it past a cut-off date, however, we are working with the bill sponsors to see develop another route to constituting this task force. We will continue to update you on progress on this critical issue.
