The Effective School Discipline for Maryland is a public information campaign to complement the disciplinary reform work being done by the Maryland State Board of Education.  The campaign provides information on alternate methods of holding students accountable for their behavior while keeping them in school and actively learning. 

We know that the teaching environment can be challenging.  Advocates for Children and Youth compiled best practices that are working in Maryland and around the nation for use by school administrators and educators.
