Anna is Advocates for Children and Youth’s health policy director. Most recently, Anna was a board member at Advocates for Children and Youth where she increased her familiarity with the health challenges that the organization addressed on behalf of the state’s most vulnerable residents.
Anna will also continue to co-teach as a visiting scholar/program manager in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She will teach courses on family policy as well as law and policymaking as a way to advance public health.
In addition to being a lecturer, Anna is a lawyer with 17 years of experience in family law, children’s rights, poverty law, and general civil litigation. Anna was also an Adjunct Clinical Law Instructor in the Clinical Law Office of the University of Maryland’s School of Law. She has bar membership with the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Maryland Court of Appeals. Anna earned a BA from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, a JD from the University of Maryland’s School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review, and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
